Mesquite is found here in the Sonoran desert and is known for its rugged appearance full of knots, splits, worm holes and bark pockets. Major cracks have been filled in with black resin to bring out the natural flecks of black in the grain.

Finish: This is finished with a food safe sealant made of linseed oil and beeswax.
Care: Hand-wash your handmade wooden board with dish soap and warm water. Wipe dry by hand and allow it to dry standing up. Never allow your board to sit in water and it is not dishwasher safe. Your beautiful board can split or crack under those conditions. White vinegar & baking soda can be used to disinfect and remove smelly odors.
Maintaining: Use a food-safe or mineral oil to polish your board when it starts to look dry. This helps maintain its beautiful finish, prevents cracking, protects the grain against bacteria and helps repel water.
