A set of 6 hand turned appetizer plates made of locally sourced mesquite. There is something a little extra special about wooden plates. It's unique, natural and organic feeling. Give your guest this feeling as they load them up with appetizers and nibbles or layer them on dinner plates for their starter salads.
Mesquite is found here in the Sonoran desert and is known for its rugged appearance full of knots, splits, worm holes and bark pockets. Major cracks have been filled in with black resin to bring out the natural flecks of black in the grain.

Finish: This is finished with a food safe sealant made of linseed oil and beeswax.
Care: Hand-wash your handmade wooden piece with dish soap and warm water. Wipe dry by hand and allow it to dry propped up. Never allow it to sit in water and it is not dishwasher safe. Your beautiful piece can split or crack under those conditions. White vinegar & baking soda can be used to disinfect and remove smelly odors.
Maintaining: Use a food-safe or mineral oil to polish your board when it starts to look dry. This helps maintain its beautiful finish, prevents cracking, protects the grain against bacteria and helps repel water.
